A Message from Scott
Generations of my family have worked in the farming and insurance industries; both are rooted
in my DNA. I genuinely enjoy people, listening to their stories, learning about their passions, and
helping them plan for the future and prepare for the unexpected.
I know what it feels like to lose everything. In 1981 a house fire destroyed our family home.
Lucky for us, we were surrounded by a wonderful community and my parents were properly
insured. Thanks to their proactive planning, we were able to rebuild our family home and move
forward with our lives.
Very few people value insurance until they need it. If you have it and you don’t file any claims,
you may question your investment. If you need it and you don’t have it, the losses may be
catastrophic. I promise that if you have insurance and need it, you will be eternally grateful to the
agent who wisely guided you. I put my heart and soul into being a trusted insurance advisor who
puts the right coverage in place. My family’s legacy of honesty, integrity, and trust are the pillars

Scott A Brockelman, AFIS - Agent
Scott is the founding member of Brockelman Insurance
Agency. He has been working with clients for the past 30 years and as an insurance advisor since
2009. As a risk management specialist, he takes a consultative approach to helping his clients and
identifying and addressing their insurance needs.
He is a designated Agricultural & Farming Insurance Specialist and a life-long horse/equine
enthusiast. He spends much of his time riding, working, and volunteering with horses. He is the
father of three children and enjoys spending time in the outdoors as an avid sportsman and
athlete.
Scott’s family owns a 1200 acre cow/calf operation in North Carolina as well as several other
agricultural properties in the Granville County. He is a member of the Granville County
Cattlemen’s Association.
Deborah Leary
Customer Service Representative – “Debbie” has been with the Topsfield
Service Center for over 30 years and in the industry for over 40 years. As a customer service
representative, she brings a wealth of insurance knowledge and experience to our agency. She is
our property & casualty insurance specialist and knows our policies, processes, and underwriters
as well as anyone.
Trudi Perry
Customer Service Representative - Trudi is the face of our office and has been
with the Topsfield Service Center for over 30 years. She brings a wealth of insurance knowledge
and experience to our agency. She is our auto insurance specialist and knows the RMV processes
as well as anyone in the state.
